Bourdain: 'Ever Made Out With a Girl With Frito Breath?' [video]
In last week's No Reservations, Anthony Bourdain visited Washington, DC, where he went to José Andrés' Minibar to sample the wares. Part of the discussion was over the connection between molecular gastronomy and cultural reference points, about how people can or cannot identify with modern food — but one dish, the Holy Guacamole (avocado, tomatoes, cilantro, lime, and Fritos) just didn't work for Bourdain:
This is a bad reference point for me: stoned, four o'clock in the morning, too many Fritos, and passing out face down. You ever made out with a girl with Frito breath? Come on. It's happened. You don't want to admit, but it's happened.
