Food Network Working on an 'Extreme Foods' Show with Animal Planet's Jeff Corwin
Jeff Houck, a blogger for Tampa Bay Online, twittered: "Learned over breakfast that Animal Planet's Jeff Corwin is doing a pilot for Food Network on extreme foods around the world."
Oh Food Network, we hate to give you a hard time. We want to like you, we really do. But are you really working on a show about extreme foods? Are you so completely out of ideas? First you rip off Top Chef and make Chopped, and then you rip off Dirty Jobs and make Will Work for Food, going so far as mining its archives for show ideas.
But now you're just going to just flat-out rip off Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods? Or is it the BBC's Cooking in the Danger Zone (website) that's serving as "inspiration"? Or is it Bear Grylls' Man v Wild? Or are you taking inspiration from the early work of Anthony Bourdain?
WHATEVER IT IS. MAKE IT STOP.
