Stephen Colbert Samples Honey from Cocaine-Addled Honeybees [video]
On last night's Colbert Report, biology professor Gene E. Robinson got a "Colbert Shout Out," a segment where "every so often, I like to recognize people who honor America, and by that I mean people who honor me" :
You may remember him as the scientist whose name I failed to mention, when I cited his research studying the biochemical effect of cocaine by dropping it on the backs of bees.
The professor mailed Stephen Colbert a jar of honey actually produced by the coked-up bees, straight from the lab at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Colbert gobbles it up.
