Food-Based Mixtape by Cool Calm Pete [music]
The latest issue of Theme magazine comes with a soundtrack by the New York-based MC and producer Cool Calm Pete, "a true lover of food" who used to host a Flushing radio show where he'd "blindfold guests and do on-air taste tests of Asian snack food." The illustration to the right is by Cool Calm Pete himself.
Clocking in at about an hour long (and 81.4 MB), the mp3 mixtape is a veritable buffet of food-inspired songs, from the The Beach Boys' "Vegetables" to the Fat Boys' "All You Can Eat" to Elvis Presley's "Song of the Shrimp" to the Wu-Tang Clan's "Ice Cream." Get it while it's hot!
