Table Manners by LuAnn de Lesseps on The Real Housewives of New York City [video]
On this week's The Real Housewives of New York City, LuAnn de Lesseps' daughter Victoria was heading off to boarding school, so she "thought it'd be a great time to gather all her friends together and have a going-away lunch."
LuAnn de Lesseps is a Countess, making sure that even the pizza guy knows, and with her book on manner and etiqutte Class with the Countess: How to Live with Elegance and Flair coming out soon, this wasn't just a simple going-away lunch. Nope — it was a refresher on table manners, with the premise that her daughter might need those skills at boarding school.
When asked how to handle a plate with a lot of food on it: "The little piece of thing you don't like, kind of move it around a little bit, and eat a lot of bread, so that you're eating and you know, don't look like you have an eating disorder."
But mostly, it seemed like a final attempt to stop her own daughter from chewing with her mouth open: "That's one of my peeves with Victoria," she says.
