DBGB Mediasplosion

The media preview at Daniel Boulud's new restaurant DBGB over the weekend had blogs stumbling over each other to post reports — Serious Eats: New York and Metromix posted photos, Grub Street posted the full menu, and Schrambling and Thorn were there — only to get obliteratingly scooped by New York Times with an epic 3,000 word piece that gave a great inside look at what it takes to open a restaurant these days, including playing the blogs:

[Boulud] brings to this enterprise something like home-field advantage, opening in the city that made him a culinary star. With that comes buzz; nearly every week, news about some element of the layout, design and construction of DBGB pops up on the most trafficked restaurant blogs in Manhattan.
