Hell's Kitchen: Los Angeles Chefsplosion [video]
On last night's Hell's Kitchen, one of the challenges for the three finalists was to cook lunch for 100 mystery guests, which turned out to be 100 chefs from the Los Angeles area. A super-impressive array of (Beard award-winning, Michelin-starred) chefs come streaming into the dining room, including Mark Peel (Campanile), Salvatore Marino (Il Grano), Ben Ford (Ford's Filling Station), Celestino Drago (Drago Restaurant), Josiah Citrin (Mélisse in Santa Monica), and Suzanne Goin (Luques and AOC restaurants). Impressive that Gordon Ramsay knew all the chefs by name and the awards they've received.
The contestants, understandably, were completely freaked out when they saw the caliber of the chefs who were going to judge their food. Says one of the contestants, "This is gonna be gnarly."
