"Waterboarding" by Stephen J Shanabrook is "the peaceful song of a pair of choir boys turned into a silent scream." In this piece, Shanabrook has figuratively chocolate-waterboarded choir boy Christmas statues (and yes, they're real statues). It's currently on display at the Daneyal Mahmood Gallery in New York City as part of the season-ending group show "Bad News".

Last year we covered a show at the same gallery, "Meat After Meat Joy", a group exhibit of artists who used meat in their art work.
