Ruth Madoff's Dining Woes
In a truly bizarre profile in the New York Times' Styles section, we learn that Ruth Madoff, cookbook trademark infringer and potentially alleged co-conspirator to her husband's swindlings, has it really rough.
Banned from her florist in Amagansett and the salon she frequented for ten years, she recently "submitted to a voluntary freeze on all spending, except for essentials like food." But worse than that, she can't even eat out anymore in her Upper East side neighborhood: she still owes a $160 tab to Sette Mezzo (on Lexington near 70th) and she's unwelcome at Bella Blu (on the same block!) because her husband took one their regulars for $10 million. And she's wearing jeans. Jeans!
