Hell's Kitchen Season Six, Tonight

Tonight is the two hour premiere of season six of Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen, the show that Anthony Bourdain astutely called a "freak show... a circus of cruelty." Note that this is the second season of HK that Fox is running this year — season five started in January and concluded in May. Ramsay's restaurant empire is stumbling, and the money he makes from being a tyrant on Hell's Kitchen basically keeps it all afloat.

Episode one is always amusing if cringe-worthy: The contestants, challenged to make their "signature dishes," generally fail epically, torturing a baffled and disappointed Ramsay. One thing to look forward to: Little Gordon Ramsay should appear sometime this season to terrorize the contestants. And the prize this time around? The title of head chef at Araxi Restaurant in Whistler, British Columbia, 200 miles north of Seattle, WA. That's like not in even in the United States!

Hulu posted a whole bunch of preview videos, including a salacious one where a contestant challenges Ramsay to step outside, if you feel the need:

What a total tease! They cut it right when Ramsay and that cook were gonna throw down!
