NFL Star Antonio Cromartie Complains About Food on Twitter, Gets Fined $2500 By His Team
This news is a couple of days old (we don't read the sports media), but San Diego Chargers cornerback and Pro Bowler Antonio Cromartie (@crimetime31) was fined $2,500 by his team for complaining about the food. The offending tweet: "Man we have 2 have the most nasty food of any team. Damn can we upgrade 4 str8 years the same ish maybe that's y we can't we the SB we need."
Translated into more normalized English: "Man, we have to have some of the nastiest food of any team. Damn, can we upgrade? Four straight years of the same shit. Maybe that's why we can't get the Superbowl we need."
Officially fined for "talking about nutrition," Cromartie said, "I just thought it was harmless. It was just me talking about the food and stuff. I took it as a joke. But other people took it as a different kind of way."
In their story about the fine, NBC Sports quoted an NFL player who asked to keep anonymous: "Tweeting was invented for 7th grade girls. We have a bunch of girls in this league!"
