The Short Film Hala Hala's Uncommon Economic Indicator at the Blackout Film Festival NYC

The annual Blackout Film Festival is this Saturday in New York City, and this year's theme is The Great Recession. Among the shorts is the film, Hala Hala's Uncommon Economic Indicator, an animated film created by The New York Times' Brooklyn blogger and illustrator Isaac Littlejohn Eddy, and narrated by the owner of Fort Greene's Hala Hala Fruit & Vegetables in Fort Greene. The original illustration evolved into the film, below, for submission into a video contest on uncommon economic indicators held by The Brian Lehrer Show on the radio station WNYC.
