The triple-Emmy-nominated Christmas special Pee Wee's Playhouse Christmas Special (Amazon) is by far one of the most astonishing things we've ever seen, offering up a literal parade of stars (Frankie Avalon, Whoopi Goldberg, Joan Rivers, Charo, Del Rubio Triplets, Annette Funicello, Magic Johnson, Dinah Shore, Grace Jones, Oprah Winfrey, k.d. lang, Little Richard, and Zsa Zsa Gabor). One of the running gags was that everyone gave Pee-Wee a fruitcake as a present, of which he was not a fan. By the end, however, he found a great use for them: building a new wing for the Playhouse, made entirely of fruitcakes. Replete with an organ and a stained glass window!

    I love this! It makes me realize exactly how much I miss this show. I could easily watch another full hour special if Pee Wee made another! He was so ahead of his time.
    and, EMD, dont forget his fridge scenes.
