Tutti 4-in-1 Measuring Spoon

The simplicity of this design for the Tutti measuring spoon/s, which has 4 different sizes on one individual spoon, is so stupidly obvious that I'm flummoxed as to why I've never seen it before. I say this as someone who considers the ring of measuring spoons one of the most irritating utensils in the kitchen; it's either all over your measuring tool drawer, making noise and getting caught on stuff, or you take it off, and are constantly wondering where the half teaspoon measure got off to. Don't even get me started on the whole "I only used one size but now I have to wash the whole damn ring" issue, and those sliding plastic measuring spoons are just a pain. In any case, thank you, Tutti, for making this culinary curmudgeon's morning.

  1. Oh, I must have one!I am a culinary student and my ring of measuring spoons is constantly getting 'lost' in my kit or caught on something else in there, etc, etc. I LOVE the idea of being able to just throw one spoon in there and be done with it. Genius!

I am completely sympathetic to your antipathy for the measuring spoon ring. My problem is that most of my cooking/baking results in multiple teaspoons, etc. of a last number of ingredients. I found some magnetic measuring spoons (that have the same size spoon at each end, in two shapes) at Ross a couple months ago, and they've made my life exponentially better. This thing looks awesome and even more economical.

  3. If there was just one more mark for thirds, I'd give it a 10. (Note: it's at a respectable 9.5 without.)

Like most "solutions" this spoon creates more problems. Measure a teaspoon of oil, then turn it over to measure a quarter teaspoon of salt. Mess.
    Same at the other end.
You still need two of these.
I'll stick with my multiple rings of spoons.

I have one of those (not Tutti brand) that I picked up at a church tag sale...what a lucky find!
