Kate Moss isn't writing a cookbook, alas, but Women's Wear Daily reports that fashion writer Cheryl Lu-Lien Tan is. Tan, a former writer for the Wall Street Journal's fashion and style components, has signed a deal with the Voice imprint at Hyperion to write a memoir of the year she spent cooking in her native Singapore, set to be published February 2011.

Titled A Tiger in the Kitchen, she's proving her chops (and presumably building buzz) with a blog of the same name. Publisher's Marketplace notes that the book was sold in a "very nice" deal, meaning an advance in the high five figures.
